The hydrophilic waterstops of BeSealed® are specifically designed for waterproofing tunnels and metros. Our waterstops can be implemented in the EPDM profiles of the precast tunnel segments. In case there is water infiltration, the hydrophilic waterstops will expand and create a perfect seal. Leakage will not get any chance!
For waterproofing tunnels in areas where there is water with a high concentration of salt, we developed the "Polybar+ Superswell Sealing insert", which has an extremely large expansion volume in salt water. For example, these sealing inserts are very popular in the Middle East.

This hydrophilic waterstop is perfect for application in seawater (saline concentrations up to 3%) and contaminated water.
