What are hydrophilic waterstops?
 

Hydrophilic waterstops are elements of a concrete structure, intended to prevent moisture infiltration. Hydrophilic means "water-loving", so these hydrophilic waterstops swell in the presence of moisture. They can be used to seal concrete joints, but also to seal formwork spacers or tie rods.

BeSealed® has a variety of hydrophilic waterstops that swell when in contact with water. We have hydrophilic profiles to seal construction joints, but also patented hydrophilic plugs & rings for a watertight sealing of tie rods or the concrete cracks around formwork spacers.

BeSealed® has developed its own water-swellable compound, based on a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) which is the foundation of the entire BeSealed® product range. The hydrophilic waterstops of BeSealed® have a proven track record for being high quality and a are cost effective solution for water containment needs.
